In Matthew 26:6-13, a woman anoints Jesus’ head with oil in an act that holds profound spiritual, mystical, and alchemical significance. This moment is not merely about an external ritual but a deeply encoded process of inner transformation, resurrection, and the awakening of Christ Consciousness.

The Symbolism of Bethany & Simon the Leper:
When Jesus is anointed, he's in Bethany at the house of Simon the Leper. Bethany means “place of crossings” and is metaphorically linked to the brain stem, where energies cross between the lower and higher centres of the body. “Simon” represents zeal and enthusiasm and Jesus healing Simon signifies the I AM spirit or consciousness reviving inner zest -- a very powerful shift on the path to enlightenment.
💫 The Alabaster Jar & The Oil – Mystical Meanings 💫
The alabaster jar represents the skull, which contains the sacred “Christos” oil within the body.
The pouring of oil on Jesus’ head signifies the activation of the third eye and the raising of divine consciousness.

Oils such as spikenard, myrrh and frankincense have been used in spiritual practices for centuries. Perhaps the outer interpretation points to Mary assisting the preservation of Jesus' body cells prior to his torture and time in the tomb? The inner anointing (sacred secretion process) is tangible and felt, but the outward expression and idea of an oil that potentially helped Jesus' resurrection is intoxicating!
